Tugs or tugboats are the lending hands that help to move vessels, barges, disabled ships through a narrow channel or crowded dock. Tugboat known for their strength are also used as icebreakers and salvage boats. With a history of using steam engines, tugboats are of different kinds. Harbor tugs were the seagoing vessels initially used in docking and maneuvering.
